Moyebi shrimp is a species of shrimp that is found widely from India to Japan and Australia. It is a members of the order Decapoda.

Maximum carapace length of this shrimp is 1.75 cm for female. It Inhabits mud or sandy-mud in estuaries, backwaters and near-shore waters to a depth of 45 m. Also found in seagrass, mangrove and among shells.

This species is mostly gonochoric. Mating behavioris- Precopulatory courtship ritual is common through olfactory and tactile cues, usually indirect sperm transfer.
